You'll have to forgive me for being new to this whole Internet concept. I know this is really a rather bare-bones site. My husband keeps telling me I should blog; about our lives, our children, Hockney, anything; but I fear whilst others in my generation are happily surfing the Net, I have missed the lure of technology. Or perhaps it has missed me!

I should mention my book, it's sort of an art book with stories called "The Hockney Habitat" published by Walford Press. Suffice to say that writing and editing is difficult at best in the menagerie we call home.

This really is rubbish, isn't it? My website, I mean. The thing is, I have fabulous design skills with anything that doesn't involve a computer. The worst of it? I don't even have proper email. It goes to my publisher! That's why I keep telling my husband, Kingsley, that I shouldn't have a website at all. Maybe I'll hire someone to make one of those really super-charged ones, the kind that have video, and music, and all kinds of fully realised concepts.

Or perhaps I'll just go change Freddy's nappies. I'll try to write more later, but I'm not promising any results!
